At JC Metalworks, we understand that a cohesive and motivated team is the foundation of our success. With this in mind and despite our busy production schedule, our events team organised a well-deserved break for the whole company, providing us an opportunity to have fun, recharge, and bond.
The Vision Behind the Day
As a company, we value not only the quality of our work but also the quality of the relationships within the team. The JC Team Building Day was conceived to nurture these relationships, foster a sense of unity, and enhance employee collaboration.
Bekki and Steph planned an amazing day at the Leicester Outdoor Pursuit Centre, featuring activities that promoted teamwork to strengthen the bonds among our team members to help them enjoy and relax.
A Day of Thrills and Challenges
Team JC travelled to the Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre in two coaches. The turnout was excellent. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the LOPC coordinating team. Our ten teams were assigned an experienced and friendly coordinator who led the games brilliantly.
We experienced a day of thrilling games and activities expertly tailored for maximum enjoyment. The variety of games offered something for everyone, catering to different interests and abilities. We engaged in team challenges such as crate racing and balance maintaining, as well as individual adventures like rope swinging and web climbing. These activities pushed us beyond our comfort zones and encouraged communication, collaboration, and creativity. All of the games were enjoyable and the crate race was particularly exciting.
Throughout the day, we cheered each other on and celebrated, forming a close-knit bond. The challenges required us to work together, brainstorm, and develop innovative strategies, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie.
Unforgettable Moments
Our JC Team Building Day was a memorable experience filled with laughter and cheers, with a few screams and shouts thrown in. Our teams tackled the challenges with enthusiasm and some even managed to bend the rules to come out on top. The event created some unforgettable moments.
Fresh Pizzas, Cookies and Soft Drinks
The day’s highlight was the hot pizzas straight out of the oven, which were absolutely delicious. In addition, there was a delightful variety of cookies and a refreshing selection of soft drinks that added to the overall experience.
Thank You to the Events Team
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participants, events team, and coordinators from LOPC who made the JC Team Building Day such a success. Thanks to your efforts and enthusiasm, the day was hugely enjoyable for everyone. We have received very positive feedback and everyone is looking forward to having more events like this in the future.
We left the outdoor pursuits centre rejuvenated and happy with a renewed sense of togetherness. The day was a perfect blend of adventure, laughter, and shared experiences, allowing us to unwind and build stronger bonds beyond our usual work environment.
