With over 25 years of experience in metal fabrication, Jason is an industry expert and the driving force behind the company’s success. Jason is responsible for developing and executing our strategic vision and leading our team to achieve their goals.
Outside of work, Jason loves to travel around the UK and Europe with his family and he’s also an avid runner who regularly participates in national marathons. He is committed to giving back to the community and supports a number of charities including Rainbows, which provides vital support to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Richard Gorman
Operations Manager
Meet Richard, our highly experienced Operations Manager. With over 20 years in aerospace and advanced manufacturing, Richard brings a wealth of expertise in engineering, leadership, and Lean Sigma process improvement.
A key part of Richard’s role is overseeing production performance and operational strategy. He focuses on streamlining workflows, optimising resources, and maintaining the highest quality standards throughout every stage of manufacturing. Having led operations for tier-one suppliers to Airbus, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin, Richard understands exactly what it takes to deliver excellence under the most demanding conditions.
Outside of work, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new engineering innovations.

Darren Machin
QHSE Manager
As QHSE Manager at JC Metalworks, he plays a pivotal role in driving excellence across the business. Calm, highly methodical, and exceptionally quality‑focused, he specialises in developing and implementing robust quality procedures and processes that consistently raise standards. With extensive experience across automotive and manufacturing environments, including SHEQ, H&S, and engineering disciplines, he brings a data‑driven, results‑orientated approach to continuous improvement.
Drawing on deep knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, the Toyota Production System, and Lean methodologies such as Kaizen and practical problem-solving, he drives meaningful change that strengthens performance and compliance.
His ambition is clear: to ensure products are manufactured safely and efficiently as possible and position JC Metalworks as a standalone leader in the UK sheet metal fabrication industry, recognised for the very highest standards of Quality, Safety and Environment.
Marcin Kolinski
Cutting Team Leader
Meet Marcin Kolinski, our experienced Cutting Team Leader, who brings over 14 years of expertise in the metal fabrication industry to JC Metalworks.
Marcin oversees the daily operations of our cutting department, ensuring all processes are carried out with precision, efficiency, and to the highest quality standards. With his extensive hands-on knowledge, he leads by example—optimising production output while minimising waste and maintaining strict accuracy.
In addition to managing the team, Marcin is responsible for the maintenance and calibration of cutting equipment, guaranteeing reliable performance and consistent results. His strong leadership, ability to delegate effectively, and close coordination with colleagues keep the department running smoothly and projects delivered on time.
Marcin’s blend of technical expertise and leadership skills make him an invaluable part of the team, driving both quality and efficiency in our cutting operations.
Duane Hanwell
Forming Team Leader
Meet Duane, Team Leader of our Metal Forming department, bringing over 17 years of experience in the metal fabrication industry.
Duane manages the daily operations of the forming department, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and consistently high-quality results. Working closely with his technical lead, he continually develops processes and techniques that enhance productivity. His steady leadership and ability to motivate his team have driven consistently strong performance across the department.
Alongside his production responsibilities, Duane also takes an active role in health and safety across all departments at JC Metalworks. He organises training sessions, monitors compliance with regulations, and ensures safe working practices are embedded company-wide.
Duane’s commitment to excellence and safety makes him an invaluable part of JC Metalworks, and we are proud to have him guiding both his team and wider operations.
Gary Simpson
Powder Coat Team Leader
Meet Gary, our highly skilled Powder Coat Team Leader at JC Metalworks. With extensive knowledge of powder coating processes, he oversees the department to ensure every project is finished to the highest standard.
A key part of Gary’s role is production planning. He carefully prepares schedules, allocates resources, and provides accurate lead times so projects flow smoothly through the workshop. By coordinating between teams, he makes sure customer requirements are met on time while keeping operations efficient. His ability to anticipate challenges, balance priorities, and adapt plans quickly is especially valuable when deadlines are tight.
Gary is always looking for ways to streamline production without compromising on quality. His calm, methodical approach gives the team confidence, even during busy periods.
Outside of work, Gary enjoys spending time with his wife and family.

Kevin Parker
Fabrication Team Leader
Meet Kevin, our Fabrication Team Leader at JC Metalworks. Kevin is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our welding and fabrication department, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards.
His role involves planning workloads, allocating tasks, and monitoring progress to keep production running smoothly. Kevin also ensures all welding equipment is properly maintained, and that processes follow industry standards for accuracy, safety, and efficiency. By supporting his team with guidance and hands-on expertise, he helps deliver quality results while encouraging continuous improvement.
Kevin’s leadership style is collaborative and fair—he values open communication and makes sure every team member has the opportunity to contribute. His commitment to quality, teamwork, and safe working practices makes him a vital part of JC Metalworks and an asset to our fabrication department.
Jake Morris
Engineering Team Leader
Jake leads our Engineering team at JC Metalworks, with over 10 years of experience and a deep understanding of the business. Joining JC as an apprentice with a natural passion for design and engineering, Jake has progressed through the company to become a Project Engineer, Apprenticeship Coordinator, and, most recently, Design & Engineering Team Leader.
Throughout his career, Jake has played a key role in delivering complex projects, including managing one of JC’s largest production orders to date. He is known for his practical approach and commitment to delivering high‑quality solutions for customers.
Having started his own career as an apprentice, Jake is passionate about developing future talent and supporting apprentices as they grow within the business. His honest, hands‑on leadership style and dedication to teamwork make him a valued leader within JC Metalworks.
Mehdi Mohammadi
Estimating Team Leader
Meet Mehdi, our Estimating Team Leader at JC Metalworks. With a background in mechanical engineering and a natural passion for numbers, Mehdi brings sharp thinking and precision to everything he does. Since joining the business in 2015, he has become an integral part of our estimating team.
One of Mehdi’s major achievements was successfully leading the transition from our old MRP system to MIE Trak Pro. From building formulas to migrating data and tailoring the system to our exact requirements, his technical skill and meticulous attention to detail ensured a smooth and successful rollout.
In his role today, Mehdi focuses on optimising estimating processes, reducing turnaround times, and ensuring clients receive accurate, timely, and transparent costings. He works closely with colleagues across departments, making sure every detail is considered before proposals are put forward.
What sets Mehdi apart is his fair and open approach, combined with a determination to continuously improve. His leadership reflects JC Metalworks’ core values of quality, transparency, and reliability — making him a key part of our ongoing success.
