Advancing Our Sheet Metal Manufacturing Services with Robotic MIG and TIG Welding

robotic welding in progress

JC Metalworks is investing in new fabricating technology and automation at a rapid pace.  We are very excited to have added state-of-the-art Robotic Systems to our 60k square foot manufacturing facility and sheet metal work services.

Integrating robotic systems into our manufacturing processes has given our production capacity an impressive boost. There are many versatile robot welding applications, with both TIG and MIG welding processes available.

Migatronic automated welding solution is at the forefront of the latest welding technology.  Now that our first welding robot from Migatronic is up and running, our customers will enjoy consistent high precision welds on high-volume parts.

What is a robotic welding system?

A robotic welding system includes the programming and welding equipment to automate the welding process. Using robots or robotic arms,  the system performs and handles the welding based on a program which can be customised to suit the intended project.

What are the benefits of an automated welding process?

welding automation

The combination of an experienced manual welding team and the efficiency of robotic welding automation can achieve remarkable results. At JC Metalworks, we incorporate automated welding into our contract manufacturing processes which enables us to offer:

Consistent Quality and Repeatability
Reduced Costs
Shortened lead times
Highly accurate components
Quality welding
Fast production
Cost competitiveness
Increased productivity
Welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium

Increased Product Manufacturing Flexibility

Robotic welding solutions can weld 3 to 5 times faster than manual welders and add flexibility to a production line. Once programmed, welding robots can easily switch between processes meaning we are still able to meet changes in product design or customer demand efficiently.
Our robotic welding system has the capability to weld multiple components per minute, all completed to bespoke programming per component, increasing and improving weld accuracy and consistency for large production batches.
