Proud Sponsors of Rainbows Hospice
22nd June 2016 | News
So far it has been an incredibly eventful year for JC Metalworks, with the inclusion of celebrating Founder, Jack Chauhan’s 60th birthday and 30 successful years of JC Metalworks, participating in The Suffering Obstacle Race at Rockingham Castle, massive changes to our factory and machinery as well as an improvement in our marketing campaign.
It comes as no surprise, however, that we’re not the only ones that have been exceptionally busy!
Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, who is our nominated charity for the 2nd year running, have recently been afforded the opportunity to open up a flagship store in Loughborough, whereby all proceeds from the store go towards the running and upkeep of this worthwhile charity. Karen Bilsby, head of retail at Rainbows, said; “Over the past four years, we have opened five shops and have focused on increasing our presence in areas where the Rainbows name wasn’t so well known. It is now the right time to come home.”
JC Metalworks was invited to be involved in this exciting development and, of course, we jumped at the opportunity!
Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young people is a charity that is very close to our hearts. JC Metalworks is a very family-oriented company, and so we understand how important it is for life-limited children and their families to be given the invaluable support that is offered by Rainbows.
JC Metalworks will be supplying, free of charge, all of the interior metalwork for the store, including clothing rails and stands. Nick Oakland, JC Metalworks Managing Director Designate, is excited for the chance to get involved in the community; ” We are looking forward to working with Rainbows throughout the year. As well as the fundraising events that we’ll be taking part in, we are also working with Rainbows on fitting out it’s first shop in Loughborough, which will open later this year. We have the skills, the labour, the equipment and the materials to be able to do this, and are very much looking forward to standing back and looking at the finished product”
We have appeared in several local newspapers over the past few weeks, praising our involvement in the set-up of this store, but of course the real praise lies with the real heroes, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.
In addition to the manufacture of the in-store metalwork, some of the JC Metalworks team will be participating in The Suffering 10km Obstacle Race on Saturday, 25 June to raise money for Rainbows.
