October was another good month for us here at JC Metalworks, with a high standard of nominations for our Employee of the Month award.

The nominations for JC Metalworks Employee of the Month for October 2019 are…

Arturs Banka – Powdercoat
“For always working hard to get the best out of the team, undertaking tasks that don’t necessarily fall under his role, showing flexibility by returning to work after his shift to push an urgent contract through and coping well when Team Leader was on holiday.”

Raitis Grandavs – Fabrication
“Ray has been instrumental in keeping some of the jobs with extremely tight deadlines on track in October. He stayed late and swapped shifts when needed, to ensure deadlines were kept.”

Manish Kumar – Fabrication
“Since joining the Fabrication team, Manish has learnt and upskilled quickly. He also has a great attitude and work ethic.”

Edison Ewiwile – Forming
“Edison has come up with and started to implement several improvements in the inserting area, which will improve efficiency and the quality of product coming out of the department.”

Jamie Bailey – Engineering
“Developed alternative lock catch for a new client, which means that this can all now be produced inhouse and removes the external spin riveting operation. There is also a significant cost saving.”

Martin Foister – Fabrication
“Martin came up with a suggestion to reduce the welding and linishing for a key client. This has now been approved by the customer and is going to save the company a significant amount of time in Welding and Linishing.”

The winner of the October Employee of the Month is… Edison Ewiwile!
