A bit about Barry
Barry joined the company as a van driver when the business premises were still on Meadow Road, 6 years ago. Over the years, Barry progressed to the role of despatch operative, responsible for ensuring deliveries were sent out on time, offering a reliable service to our customers and reporting back to the Team Leader on any issues. Barry has been in the engineering industry for most of his working life, so not only has he been a pleasant and respectable person to work with, but he has brought a wealth of knowledge to the company, too.
Bharat, the Team Leader for the despatch department, describes Barry as “a conscientious and hard-working employee. He is an excellent team player who is always on time and is always eager to do what is expected of him. He is a good employee and we wish him all the best for his retirement.”
Through the six years that Barry has been employed by JC Metalworks, he has seen the company move premises, install top-of-the-range machinery, invest in people and build up strong relationships with our valued customers. It has been an incredible journey, and according to Barry, “the company has grown enormously since I started working here. There were a lot of systems missing but they have now all been put in place and I am confident the company is growing by the day. The company is definitely going in the right direction”.
Barry, when asked what his favourite part of working at JC Metalworks is, responded: “The people. When you work around them for so long, you make so many friends”.
So what’s next for Barry?
Once retired, Barry will be working on their house and doing some travelling.
Farewell Barry, and Good Luck!
The Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank Barry for all of his hard-work over the 6 years that he has been here. “We wish you a long and healthy retirement, and all the best for your future”.
Take care, Barry!
